Edinburgh born, Steven Ferguson is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Ross County Football Club in the Scottish Premiership.
His professional football journey began in 1993 with Dunfermline Athletic. Following on from this, his long affiliation with Ross County started with a 7 year-stint at the club as a player making 220 appearances and scoring 54 goals. At the culmination of his first spell at the Staggies in 2003 he joined Ayr United.
His journey with Ross County was reignited in 2010 returning as Academy Director, establishing the Ross County Foundation during this time. Under his leadership, the club won the SPFL Development League in 2016/17.
Steven was appointed first-team co-manager alongside Stuart Kettlewell, leading the Staggies to the Scottish Championship title as well as retaining Premiership status the following season. They also lifted the IRN-BRU Cup during this time and the pair handed first-team debuts to 16 academy graduates and made a substantial 7 figure profit in player trading.
In June 2020 Steven was appointed as CEO of Ross County and launched a comprehensive club strategy , on top of this he was recognised for his work, being named as the SPFL CEO of the Year for 2023 at the Football Business Awards.
