Tony Adams receives the 2018 Global Football Ambassador Award

Big clubs such as Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona were amongst the winners alongside outsiders such as Kew Park Rangers.

Tony Adams received a special award for his work with Sporting Chance. He said afterwards “What a honour to receive this Award. I am very proud of all my staff at Sporting Chance and dedicate this award to them for their 18 years of fantastic work tackling mental and emotional problems including addiction, for the Sporting industry.” It was an emotional end to the evening as a lifetime contribution to the business of football was presented in memory of the Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
